However, like most things in life, there is always a chance that you can get carried away and spend too much efforts to the point where you get a little obsessed.

Regular domestic cleaning is not different.This is why you should watch out for the following signs just to be sure you are not wasting your time with unnecessary things:

  • Buying too much products – if each time you go to the store you come back home with either some detergent, or some liquid soap or some disinfectant. Maybe you use too much of them and too often and you need to reconsider and reevaluate how often you sanitise at home.

  • If you know more about the cleaning agents than the consultants in the store, you should be careful. If these consultants tend to become among your closest acquaintances and you talk to them more often than you do with your friends, then you definitely need to spend more time outside.

  • If you know the instructions from the labels of all products by heart, then you can be sure you are on the wrong track and you need to make some changes.

  • Cleaning the windows every week is unnecessary. If you do it, just stop. Once a month is good enough.

  • Ironing the sheets – a lot of people actually do this but it’s not a must. If you feel like you can’t go to bed if the sheets are not “perfect”, then you definitely have a problem.

  • Vacuuming more than once a day is a “No-No”. If you have allergies and you are worried about the dust at home, just buy an air purifier. Vacuuming once a day is OK- more often than that means you are only wasting your time without getting much better results.
